Hey, friend! Easter’s just around the corner, and I’ve got a fun little project for you and your family. I put together a printable that’s perfect for any family gathering—whether it’s at home, church, or school. It’s a cute Easter basket with plain eggs, some to color, a chick holding an egg, and bunnies to make it extra special. You can use this activity to focus on gratitude and mindfulness with your loved ones.

One thing I love to do with my family is to use the eggs to write down things we’re thankful for. It’s an easy way to bring a little positivity into the holiday and really focus on what we’ve been blessed with. Whether you’re celebrating Easter in a religious way or just enjoying the season, this is something anyone can do. It could be something simple like being thankful for family or a sunny day, or even big things like health and love. My son decided he didn’t want to “ruin” his coloring and elected to leave it off so we had a discussion instead.
It’s amazing how something as simple as acknowledging your blessings can make a difference. Research even shows that practicing gratitude can help improve your mental health, reduce stress, and boost your overall well-being. It’s a small habit that can make a big impact—and it’s a great reminder to appreciate the little things. (If you’re curious, check out some studies on gratitude from UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center!)
After you write your blessings, you can decorate the eggs and add them to the Easter basket. You can then use them to make a beautiful display in your home—stick them on the fridge, hang them on a bulletin board, or even tape them up on a window. It’s a great way to keep the gratitude going all season long.
And the best part? This isn’t just a one-time thing. Whether you’re doing this as a classroom project, for a church gathering, or as a family, it’s a sweet way to bring everyone together and share some positive vibes. Plus, it’s a fun, creative activity to get everyone in the spirit of the season.
