Easter in our house isn’t just a one-day event—it’s practically a season. The second our Easter decorations come out, my son, Connor, declares it “egg hunt time” and immediately starts hiding our decor eggs all over the house. (And I mean all over—I’ll be finding them in my shoes until June.) He lives for egg hunts and refuses to accept that they should stop after Easter Sunday. My daughter, Ellie, is just as into crafting as he is, so when you combine their love of arts and crafts with Connor’s egg-hunting obsession, Easter turns into a full-on crafting marathon.
I’m a jump in with both feet kind of person when it comes to crafts, and I love making things with my kids. The memories, the keepsakes, the adorable creations—it’s totally worth the glue-covered fingers and confetti-like paper scraps I’ll be vacuuming up for days. (RIP, clean floors.)
Over the years, I’ve learned that the best crafts are:
1. Low prep (because no one wants to cut out 100 tiny pieces before the fun starts)
2. Engaging for multiple ages (so all my kids can enjoy them)
3. Easy to save as keepsakes (because I’m sentimental but also… efficient)
So, in the spirit of easy, fun, and low-prep crafts that keep kids entertained for hours, I’ve rounded up our favorite DIY keepsakes and free Easter printables. Whether you’re a parent, teacher, or just someone who enjoys a good glue stick moment, these ideas are perfect for your little bunnies.
Etsy Easter Printables – For Those Extra-Special Keepsakes!
While I love a good freebie, some crafts just deserve a little extra. These Etsy printables are great for gifts, keepsakes, or fun Easter traditions you can use year after year. If you’re here for the FREEBIES, scroll a little more!
DIY Easter Baskets

In our house, the Easter Bunny always leaves an egg on the kids’ nightstands. I didn’t plan this at all, but as soon as Connor made his paper Easter basket, he immediately set it on his nightstand so the Easter Bunny would know EXACTLY where to leave his egg. HOW CUTE IS HE?!
This printable Easter basket craft is a fun way to add a little extra magic to the holiday. Simply print, cut, fold, and glue to create a tiny basket—perfect for classroom treats or table settings.
Pair this craft with the Easter Bunny Letter Writing FREEBIE. The freebie includes letter writing templates (versions for every age and preference of course) and a fun fantasy writing alternative, “If I were the Easter Bunny…” (See dedicated section below with pics!)
Easter Placemats for All Ages

These placemats are designed for upper elementary, primary, and toddlers!! They feature a mix of fun activities: Easter trivia, riddles, hidden pictures, dot-to-dot, math games, tic-tac-toe, egg decorating, spot the difference, finish-the-drawing, and tons of coloring fun!
Perfect for keeping kids busy while waiting for Easter brunch or just giving them a fun, screen-free activity. You can grab them [here on Etsy].
Handprint & Footprint Keepsakes
I love making keepsakes, but with multiple kids and less free time these days, I’ve learned how to keep it easy but meaningful.

They grow so fast when they are little so capturing those pudgy feet every few months is a MUST. It’s a simple, quick way to make a meaningful keepsake without the mess (or the stress). (Instead of pulling out the paint and canvas, like I have for the past 8 Christmases, I’m totally making templates like these and framing them for the grandparents!) Get your Easter printable templates HERE!
Free Printable Easter Crafts for Kids
These freebies are perfect for classrooms, Easter parties, or just keeping your kids busy while you sneak a few pieces of their chocolate stash.
Easter Bunny Headbands

These adorable bunny headbands come in color and black-and-white versions so kids can decorate their own. They feature cute bunny ears that can be “dressed up” with eggs or flowers. Just print, cut, and tape to fit. I laminated ours because I knew they wouldn’t last long otherwise! Grab the free printable here!
DIY Bunny Masks – Flop to Fab!

Okay, I have to confess—my first attempt at making Easter Bunny masks was… a little creepy. They turned out way too small for the kids and honestly looked more like a haunted bunny situation than cute Easter fun. (Check out my Instagram for the blooper if you want a good laugh!) BUT—round two was a total success! The updated version has cute little bunny teeth that line up over the mouth, so it actually looks like the bunny teeth are their teeth. The kids thought it was hilarious.
I laminated ours (because if you can’t tell by now, I love my laminator!) and used my spool of jewelry cord to tie them on. (I keep extra becaue there is never enough string to go with Ellie’s jewelry kits!) I really recommend some kind of stretchy cord so the mask can fit comfortably—and even be shared between siblings or friends without a hassle.
Cut-and-Paste Bunny Scene (Fine Motor Fun!)

Designed with my kindergartener, Ellie, in mind, this is a simple but engaging craft: The bunny and accessories are pre-colored (no extra work required!)
Kids cut, arrange, and glue the pieces onto the included background or make their own
Teacher Tip:
Cut-and-paste activities like this are awesome for fine motor development. Cutting strengthens hand muscles, improves hand-eye coordination, and builds pencil grip skills—which all help with handwriting and independence in school.
This cut and paste bunny freebie is quick to prep, easy for little hands, and such a satisfying little project. Ellie loved choosing where to place everything. Whether you’re a teacher looking for a low-prep center or a parent trying to sneak in a calm, creative moment, this one’s a win. Plus, you’ll end up with a cute keepsake to hang on the fridge or tuck into a memory box!
Easter Bingo (With Riddle Calling Cards!)

A fun twist on classic Bingo! Instead of calling out pictures or numbers, kids listen to a riddle and find the matching image. Players have to solve the riddle and then find the answer on their Bingo card—such a great way to mix problem-solving with play! We put the calling cards in a cup and passed it around so everyone got a turn reading the riddle. Since Ellie is still learning to read, she described the picture instead. Perfect for classrooms, family game nights, or Easter parties.
Print the cards and use jellybeans as markers—we used mini M&Ms in our house! Of course, if your kids are anything like mine, be prepared for them to eat half the game pieces before the first round is over. It’s all part of the fun, and honestly, the giggles and sugar-fueled excitement make the memories even sweeter.
Teacher Tip:
Riddle-based games boost listening comprehension, critical thinking, and vocabulary—all while making learning fun!
Easter Bunny Letter Writing

Writing letters to the Easter Bunny is such a sweet tradition, and I’ve made a set of printable templates for kids of all ages: No lines (just space for a picture)
Large-lined paper with a picture space
Small-lined paper with a picture space
Just small-lined paper
AND—if your kids love creative writing, there’s also a fun prompt: “If I were the Easter Bunny…” This is a great way to get kids thinking creatively while practicing their writing skills! Grab it here!
Easter Matching Game

The Easter Matching Game is a memory-style activity featuring cute, colorful Easter images that kids will love. Just print on cardstock or laminate them for extra durability—especially helpful with little hands that love to crinkle! To make it toddler-friendly for my youngest, Griffin, I adapted it by starting with just a few matching pairs and laying them face up so he could visually match the pictures. He had so much fun pointing out the bunnies and eggs, and it turned into a great little vocabulary and attention activity. This easy-prep game works for a wide range of ages and makes an awesome quiet time or center activity. You can snag these free printables here!
Easter Activity Book

This black-and-white printable is packed with puzzles, games, mazes, dot-to-dots, and other fun activities. Since it’s ink-saving, it’s perfect for printing at home or in the classroom! Get it on the freebies page!
Easter-Themed Reading & Grammar Packs

These reading comprehension and grammar packets are perfect for keeping skills sharp while still soaking up all the Easter fun. I’m using them with Connor and my 3rd graders! One of the passages is all about kids trying to catch the Easter Bunny—my students love it. After reading, they get to design and create their own Easter Bunny trap, which adds a fun creative twist to the lesson. The packets include themed reading passages, writing prompts, and parts of speech activities—basically, a sneaky way to keep the learning going while everyone’s excited about candy and egg hunts! Freebie packet here!
Tips for Stress-Free Easter Crafting
Have a designated crafting space – We actually don’t have a big dining table—we turned that area into a craft space instead! If it’s a multi-day craft (which they often are), it’s nice to be able to walk away from the mess! The table we have is loaded with tons of storage which helps things stay as organized as a kids craft station can be. It was passed down to us from my aunt and is still in great shape. I’d recommend getting one secondhand since good ones are pricey and it will get beat up anyways!

Use a supply organizer – This rotating art caddy keeps everything in one spot (so I don’t hear “Mom, where’s the glue?” 57 times).
Laminate what you want to keep – Trust me, this laminator is a lifesaver. The kids love seeing their creations last forever, and I love that they don’t get ripped in two seconds. I just use the Amazon Basics refills and they work great!
Prep ahead – If you have younger kids, cut things out beforehand so they can focus on the fun part.
Keep a “mess mat” handy – I use a cheap table cloth when painting (I rotate these seasonally) as an easy-to-clean crafting surface. When we’re done, I shake it off straight in the trash, and boom, cleanup is done.
Final Thoughts: Make Easter Crafting Fun & Easy!
